December 8th marks 2016’s Christmas Fayre in Town.
On the Thursday evening, Chudfest, coupled with Chudleigh Town Council, will be closing the High Street to make way for a Lantern Parade from the church to the War Memorial.
The Christmas Lights will be turned on by who else? but Father Christmas and our Carnival Royalty, and we have made room for street sellers, traffic free ambling around the late night shopping venues, craft stalls at the Town Hall, a Christmas market in the Town Hall and the Youth Centre, live music in the Phoenix and the Library, an array of delicious food vendors, handbell ringers, singers and choirs, a book signing in Pottery Court and even a Festive Dog competition with an esteemed judge from Devon Life Magazine!
What more could you wish for in a Christmas Fayre?
Well how about Santa and his Elves in the grotto?
Or our famous Pound a Pop competition AND a Christmas Windows competition that will help make our beautiful town even more festive?
Gather at the church for 6pm; and the church bells will precede the Lantern Parade which we invite everybody to participate in!
Get in the Spirit and come along and support us! Mince pies and mulled cider or wine will be bountiful and so will the good cheer!
