Highly regarded as one of the best acts to emerge from the south west in recent years, award winning stand-up comedian Luke Honnoraty has been hotly tipped by some of the UK’s biggest promoters as ‘one to watch’ in 2016.
After bursting onto the circuit in 2010 as the winner of the ‘South West New Act of the Year’, Luke has gone from strength and is now performing alongside the best names in comedy in some if the UK’s best comedy clubs. Having supported the likes of Matt Richardson and Russell Kane in the past, Plus Supporting Katherine Ryan on the south west tour dates of 2014 and in the following year took his first show ‘Small Town Heroes’ to the Edinburgh Fringe.
An infectiously funny, natural born comic who is the perfect addition to any comedy line up.
Based in Plymouth, Richard has been performing comedy since 2012. In 2014, he was a finalist in Foster’s South Coast Comedian of the Year. He has performed across the UK on pro-bills alongside the great and the good, from festivals to corporate functions, to theatres and little pubs. In Feb 2015 he majestically crossed the Atlantic and performed in the USA, in New York and Baltimore. As well as performing, he co-runs a series of successful Open Mic comedy nights in Plymouth as part of The Plymouth Comedy Avengers; monthly nights where new acts gain stage time and experienced acts get to test out material. Along with a fondness for the absurd and the awkward details of life, Richard is an unashamed nerd for history and science fiction. The material that he uses stretches from topical humour to bizarre family stories to films and history. His passion for writing comedy means that he is constantly coming up with new ideas, sketches and routines.
‘…coped with a ‘excitable’ crowd exceptionally well, engaging them with warming stories of his childhood and own personal geekery.’ The Funny Fort: Plymouth
‘…continues to deliver brilliantly in front of audiences of any size. I’ve seen rooms captivated as he transports audiences back through nostalgic school days and his precarious experiences as a youngster. There’s something for everyone as Richard’s friendly stage presence facilitates the absurdity of the situations this rising star has found himself in over the years. ‘ Ministry Comedy Bournemouth.
‘quick wit and hilarious anecdotes quickly endear him to an expectant crowd.’ New Life Magazine
Sandi began performing in 2013 telling her stories with ascerbic wit whilst managing to maintain a warm connection with her audiences. In her first six months of performing, she reached the semi final of Funny Women and the heats of the BBC New Comedy Awards
